Where is the Old New Land? What is the Old New Land? In due time, listeners will have visions of it, but Tales from the Old New Land is about adventures and trials and tribulations of the Kharlap family, a family both trapped two thousand years in the past, yet looking two thousand years toward the future. The stories of Abba-Khet Kharlap, a Jewish hero, and his son, Alef-Khet Kharlap, a would-be latter day prophet.

Welcome to the first episode of Tales From The Old New Land featuring host A.C. Charlap reading his first tale, His Own Father, as well as an original musical number. He is joined by Rabbi Herbert Swamley and special guest, economist Dr. Robert K. Chubstein, The episode also includes a performance of “A Yiddishe Mameh” by Yossele Rosenblatt.
