aois21 publishing has found its Chief of Audio Production

New member of management team will take charge of podcast network

MOUNT VERNON, VA – aois21 publishing, LLC announced today that Zach C. Cohen has joined the company in charge of all audio projects, including the aois21 podcast network. He comes with a wealth of experience in podcast production, as well as experience with writing and editing.

Zach joins aois21 as Chief of Audio Production and will oversee all eight aois21 podcast series, heading up the team of podcast production and audio consultants. He will edit and produce audio files and help grow our presence and recording ability.

"As a podcast addict myself, I'm fascinated by the power of audio to tell stories in ways that print cannot," Zach said. "I'm excited to join the growing team at aois21 as we explore new ways to show our authors' work to the world."

Zach has previously produced podcasts for National Journal (where he currently works as a staff correspondent), PBS MediaShift, and LinkTV. He is a proud American University graduate and New Jersey native.

aois21 Publisher Keith F. Shovlin said, “I first met Zach when he was finishing his term as Editor-in-Chief of The Eagle, the student newspaper that has brought me so many great friendships and partnerships over the years. His experiences since graduating, paired with his eagerness to take on any project, make him an ideal member of our team. We are fortunate to have him join us.”

aois21 launches 7th podcast

New series will dive into the history behind current events

We are happy to announce a new addition to our podcasting lineup, an occasional series from writer Evan Tucker exploring historical trends in pop culture from the distant present to the current moment.

It's Not Even Past: A History of the Distant Present is a history podcast looking at the world we currently live in, built in the mode of Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History, but without the extended run time. The news today is troubling, and though much of it seems to come out of nowhere, there is actually a mostly logical course that has carried us to the headlines of today. Evan Tucker knows the story behind the headlines and wants to help you understand that many of these stories have been a long time coming.
The podcast is being hosted by Podomatic and will be available on iTunes, Stitcher Radio, Google Play, and at media.aois21.com. A Facebook page will be launching shortly. This will be the seventh podcast in the aois21 podcast network, and will have an indefinite schedule, timed to match key events that grab Tucker’s attention. These podcasts and the aois21 video series can be found at media.aois21.com.

Sexed Vexed Perplexed moving to Internet radio

Episodes available every Thursday at 10 pm ET

aois21 is happy to announce that Sexed Vexed Perplexed with the Modern Whore, a biweekly series hosted by aois21 Creative Aylin Vega, will soon be available on the internet radio station WDLS, Thursdays at 10 pm ET.

Sexed Vexed Perplexed with the Modern Whore has been available every two weeks and featured Vega sharing intimate details about her experiences, as well as guest episodes based on certain topics. Between writing her book and honing her craft on the stand-up stage, Vega brings her hilarious and risqué stories to internet radio.

WDLS, which stands for World Diverse Life Sounds, Radio of Allentown, PA, launched in 2015 and has been growing its programming and listenership steadily. The station focuses on diverse viewpoints, not commonly found on terrestrial radio, and approached aois21 to option Vega’s podcast.  Click here for more information on WDLS : www.WDLSRADIO.net

The new weekly episodes will be an hour in length with ad breaks, and will be including previously released episodes of the podcast, restructured into the hour format. Once a month, Vega will host an episode live to give callers an opportunity to share their own stories or seek advice from the Modern Whore.

The podcast will continue to be released every other Wednesday on Podomatic, iTunes, Stitcher radio, Google Play, and online at media.aois21.com. You can keep up with Vega on twitter @themodernwhore and on tumblr at themodernwhore.tumblr.com.
